America is tired of wars. She has become apathetic, numb to her surroundings … vulnerable. She has sent her sons and daughters to a war that is neither in their homeland nor a war that effects the US. Directly, all the wars since WWII were wars to protect someone else, spending money and resources, shedding blood, pain and suffering defending others.
Now put yourself in the shoes of Israel. All her wars are inside the homeland. She does not fight for others … she fights for her survival! She has no other home to go to – she cannot even count on her neighbors to come to her aid. Do you know why? Because it is the neighbors that wish to wipe Israel off the map.
The whole world, from the days of Abraham, has been, and still is, against Israel. The nations come against them – they attack them day and night. From the days of the Babylonians, Egyptians and every superpower in between, have been trying to uproot Israel from their homeland. The rhetoric has always been, “we will drown you in the sea.” The notion is this: if Israel is no more, the world will be a better place to live. 2,000 years ago the Romans destroyed their homes and their Temple. They uprooted and dispersed the Jews to the four corners of the earth. The Jews have accepted their fate and lived among the Gentiles, minding their own business, contributing to the welfare of humans everywhere in all facets of life. The nations did not like it! The Jews lead in every aspect of life and make them look weaker and less significant. We must find a solution, “Yes!” cried Himmler – the final solution, “Kill all the Jews.” After the genocide of 6 million Jews, America said, “Why exactly are we killing the Jews? They are productive members of society. They lead the world in science, chemistry, economics, theater, innovations and so much more! No, we must save what’s left of them.”
In 1948 the EU (European Union) and America decided to do the Jews a favor and give them a small sliver of land … where? “Let’s give them the desert,” they said, “the land no one wants that is infested with swamps, malaria, dysentery, almost no rain, nothing grows.” Many nations have attempted to make it habitable but the land opposes unfamiliar masters, so the land refuses to yield … yes, that is a good place for the Jews who survived the gallows, the ovens, the labor camps, the experimental hospitals of the “angel of death,” Josef Mengele.
As soon as the Jews were happy to return to their forsaken, inhospitable land, the welcoming neighbors wanted to kill them even before they settled. Every four to seven years, the friendly neighbors offer Israel their newest missiles, bombs, and artillery – a promise and a reminder to kill them all.
Here is a write-up from Mr. Staver:
Former President Jimmy Carter has called on the United States and the European Union to recognize Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist group, as a legitimate “political actor.” In an op-ed entitled “How to Fix it,” Carter says his plan is the roadmap to a lasting truce in the Middle East…
“[T]he United States and EU should recognize that Hamas is not just a military but also a political force. Hamas cannot be wished away, nor will it cooperate in its own demise. Only by recognizing its legitimacy as a political actor — one that represents a substantial portion of the Palestinian people — can the West begin to provide the right incentives for Hamas to lay down its weapons.”
Mr. Carter appears to have no grip on the reality of the underlying conflict between Israel and Hamas; the fact that Hamas’ charter calls for the annihilation of the Jewish State.
Carter went on to blast the Israelis for what he called a “humanitarian catastrophe,” asserting that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) committed “war crimes.”
“There is no humane or legal justification for the way the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting this war. Israeli bombs, missiles, and artillery have pulverized large parts of Gaza, including thousands of homes, schools, and hospitals.
This is a humanitarian catastrophe … There is never an excuse for deliberate attacks on civilians in conflict. These are war crimes.”
Mr. Carter also willingly overlooks the fact that the responsibility for civilian casualties falls on Hamas for using Gaza citizens as human shields surrounding their military staging areas.
As Prime Minister Netanyahu so aptly put it,
“We use our missiles to protect our people. They use their people to protect their missiles.”
+ + Hamas is engaging in child sacrifice.
Today, in a press conference, Mr. Netanyahu provided undeniable proof that Hamas has used civilian facilities, including schools, as fronts to their military operations and has planted civilians, including children, as human shields.
Fox News is also reporting today that a manual has been found dictating how civilians are to be used as human shields. The Hamas “Urban Warfare” manual teaches …
“The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens toward the attackers [the IDF] and increases their gathering [support] around the city defenders (resistance forces [i.e. Hamas]).”
Mr. Carter must face the fact that the “war crimes” in Gaza are being committed by Hamas.
This errant roadmap to peace comes from a former president whose administration has long been considered an epic failure in foreign policy.
Former New York City Mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani told Fox News this morning that many of the problems in the Middle East over the past 38 years were birthed by the Carter administration.
Sadly, Jimmy Carter’s perspective further fuels rising anti-Semitism worldwide.
