We are led by Rabbi Isaac Levy who is the founder and leader of Beit Or [House of Light]. Rabbi Isaac was born and raised in Israel, on top of coming from a long line of rabbis, he brings to his teachings the customs and context of the days in which the bible was written. Rabbi Isaac is infused with revelation and knowledge of God’s word and Yeshua that is not heard nor taught anywhere else that we know of and it is all scriptural.

Our fellowship focuses on having a relationship with God. We believe that Torah is a way of life- not a religion, and certainly not some kind of legalism. We advocate balancing faith and knowledge with good works, the spiritual with the physical. We are physical beings with no concept of what the spiritual world is like, so God has given us Torah to help us understand. In loving our spouse we learn to what it is to love a God that we cannot touch nor see. In honoring our parents, we learn to honor the God of Israel.

We believe what is missing from the teaching of the bible is the big picture which needs to include context, customs, and language. As a result Rabbi Isaac is vivid in his description about things that went on in the bible days that do not come across clearly to us with our western mindsets. Rabbi Isaac also teaches Hebrew to give us a glimpse of the deeper meaning in the word of God.

Our services are conducted more like a bible study instead of traditional church or synagogue. We start the service with the blast of the shofar. After a few words from the Rabbi we have praise reports and prayer requests, then we sing a few songs. Afterwards we remember Yeshua with bread and wine and fellowship for a few moments. Then we have the Torah portion with a short message from the Rabbi about its meaning. From there for the next hour or so the Rabbi begins the drash with whatever he has been inspired to teach for that Shabbat. At the close of the study we bless the children and dismiss with prayer.
